Control who enters
- Foot dip with fresh disinfectant at every door.
- No visitors who own poultry, or have them change footwear and clothes.
Control what enters
- Crates, egg trays, and bags coming from outside are a top infection route.
Daily routine
- Walk the pen each morning and remove sick birds immediately.
- Clean drinkers daily; feeders weekly.
Between batches
- Empty, wash, disinfect, rest the pen for at least 14 days before restocking.
