Ask other farmers first
- Search SabiSense for the hatchery name and read recent reviews.
- Two bad batches in 90 days is a strong warning.
Verify the basics
- Hatchery has its own breeder flock, not a reseller.
- Vaccination schedule is written down and matches what you receive.
On collection day
- Chicks should be uniform in size, alert, and dry.
- Reject weak, panting, or wet chicks — don't accept a 'replacement next batch' promise on weak deliveries.
Keep records
- Note batch number, supplier, and mortality at day 7, 14, 28.
- Share the outcome on SabiSense so the next farmer benefits.
